The house was looked at under the new development control guideline. To cater to the family expanding needs, the house grew up taller at the back. The house stayed quiet in context among the neighbour and estate.

With the additional space, a mezz master bedroom and an attic family area was formulated. The space left from 2nd storey was then re-created as the common study for the 4 children, directly accessible from their individual bedrooms on 2nd storey. The new rooms and spaces had a unique blend of private and common area for the family.

Double / triple volume space linked and allow daylighting to pour into the new common area while ventilating the spaces via stack effect. The terrace although extremely deep is not claustrophobic.

The house is regenerated.
