This addition & alterantion project involves the thoughtful expansion and renovation of an existing 2-storey corner terrace, with a focus on maximizing functional space and enhancing livability. The design introduces a strategic extension on the second storey, extending both the rear and front areas and creatively utilizing the existing void to increase the usable area.

The second-storey expansion accommodates a sheltered verandah on the first storey, enriching outdoor usability. The revised layout transforms the first storey by introducing a new pantry, while the second storey now features expanded rooms. The highlight is an extra-large master bedroom with a generously proportioned walk-in wardrobe and a luxurious en-suite bathroom. All other bedrooms have also been upgraded to include private en-suite baths, enhancing comfort and convenience.

The façade has been reimagined with ribbon windows that improve cross-ventilation, while a double-wall system on the west-facing side ensures optimal thermal comfort. A reconstructed skylight leverages the stack effect, drawing cool air in and venting warm air through louvres, while simultaneously illuminating the staircase below with natural light.

The interior design embraces a timeless aesthetic with a palette of off-whites and light-coloured timber, aligning with contemporary trends and ensuring a lasting, modern appeal. This project exemplifies a harmonious blend of functional enhancements, architectural ingenuity, and thoughtful interior design.
